Steve Mepham

Experienced business leader and dedicated community advocate

Steve Mepham brings 40 years of business experience to the Armidale Regional Chamber of Commerce, including numerous startup ventures developed and sold as going concerns. As Owner Operator of High Country Production for over 30 years, he has been heavily involved in the Events Industry, bringing extensive expertise in event management and business operations.

Professional Experience

With 20 years of executive experience in senior management roles within Government Agencies and Emergency Management, Steve brings a unique combination of public sector leadership and private enterprise success. He holds tertiary qualifications in Business Management and Human Resources, providing a strong foundation for strategic decision-making and organisational development.

Community Leadership

Steve has served the community as an Elected Councillor and brings extensive governance experience as a Director on three Boards of Management, including one at State Level. His commitment to community service is demonstrated through his volunteer work with the Rural Fire Service and Volunteer Rescue NSW, as well as his long-standing role as President of the Lamb & Potato Festival Committee for 20 years.

Organisational Roles

Steve's leadership extends across multiple community organisations. He serves as Treasurer of the Guyra District Auto Club, Secretary of the Guyra Men's Shed, President of Guyra Lions, and sits on the Management Board of the Armidale Showgrounds. He is also a Past President of the Guyra Chamber of Commerce, bringing valuable chamber experience to his role.

With extensive experience in sourcing grant funding for Not-For-Profit organisations, Steve understands the challenges and opportunities facing community groups and businesses. His passion is for strong community groups and vibrant business in our community, making him a dedicated advocate for regional prosperity and sustainable growth.
